I got home this morning from Grand Rapids, MI, where I was attending the Festival of Faith and Writing. What an inspiring and encouraging three days! I am full of ideas and have many thoughts and many pages of notes to ponder and incorporate into my writing and into my daily life. It was especially nice to be able to spend time sharing ideas and thoughts with Arielle Fischer. Thank you to Cindy Pacura Steffen, who led a very helpful festival circle on nature writing. I was glad to see Linda Kirk, as well as several people I met last festival two years ago. It was also a treat to visit Jim and Alyce Vandelune before the festival started. Im eager to get out pen and paper and start writing (actually, I already did that as soon as I got home). A huge thank you to all the organizers and presenters and other attendees, who all contributed to making this such a wonderful time of learning and growing!
