Go to page 7, 77, or 177 of your new WIP, count down 7 lines, and then post the next 7 lines. Im posting 7 lines from my Christmas Novella-which-is-turning-into-a-novel, Christmas With You. In this rought little snippet the heroine, Carly, has just, er, injured the hero, Kip, and asked if hes okay. Clue - hes not. Dumbest three words in the English language. He groaned, a pathetic oh-god-I’m-dying sound, and ran through an internal diagnostic. Head? Tender spot on forehead, but not concave. Also draped with strands of long, tickly hair. Chest? Heavy with female body slumped on it. Gut? Yep, all systems go and almost out of the danger zone of ridding itself of this morning’s breakfast. Legs? Partially covered by Carly’s. Junk? Not happy, but alive. And God willing, able to produce the grand kids his parents were desperate for. Maybe. He’d settle for working order since kids meant a wife and family and he was so not going there. Now Im tagging Alexia Adams Amber A.
