I got this dyslexic/ADD/senior thing going on. My eyes rush - TopicsExpress

I got this dyslexic/ADD/senior thing going on. My eyes rush forward and leave my brain behind. I’d like to be fruitful in my late autumn stage but I’m going to have to depend on my audience and my readers to fill in the blanks and edit my copy. I’ve run out of people to blame. “It’s me…It’s me, O Lord…Standing in the need of prayer.” I really relate to this story: A husband wishing to prove his wife’s hearing loss began by calling out to his wife from the upstairs bedroom…”What’s for breakfast?” He waited a bit for her response and, hearing none, went to the foot of the stairs. “What’s for breakfast, Dear?” Still nothing. He walked to through the living room toward the kitchen and stopped to call out, “Dear…What’s for breakfast?” Now, with a big smile, he stepped into the kitchen and said, “Now…for the fourth time…What’s for breakfast?” She turned and stared at him. Then enunciating each word carefully and at volume ”Sweet Heart…for the fourth time, eggs and bacon!” A dear friend, Allen Wunsch, once told me on his birthday, “I look forward to every year. There is a joy to be found in it all.” Sometimes I have to really search, but thus far, it is true.
