I got to spend several hours today with my Mama by myself. They kept her heavily sedated today for a rest day. I sat and held her swollen hands and reflected on all the things those hands have been involved in. They have been involved in raising three children that adore her more than life itself. Her hands have held, rocked, and embraced her grandchildren. She was a true believer in many a child is spoiled because you cant spank Grandma. Her grandkids have been spoiled rotten! Her beautiful hands are what has many people throughout her life time very happy. Those hands were self made seamstresses, painter, crafter, flower and wedding designer, and so much more to mention. Many homes have some of her lovely treasures she made for just them. Her hands are what wiped many a tear away from my eyes. But for today, she is not wiping my tears that I shed, but I am holding her hands. Mama I need your hands to wipe my tears. For now I will use the ones that resemble yours and wipe your tears. We are going to make it through this Mama, because your hands are what holds this family together. I love you!!
