I got to the stage on facebook where I thought that nothing was real and that if everyone is play acting than there can be no such thing as a soul mate, because we dont have genuine souls anymore. We just copy each other. I got to the point where nothing mattered but the animals around me because Im clearly not a REAL person and neither is anyone else. Hopefully this puts things in perspective since Ive come on line again to all the me me me crap. People stare at the wonders of the world where I am right now dull eyed under whelmed, Victoria Falls, Lake Malawi, Bush animals on attack, I cant recall a single amazing thing I have seen firsthand that I didnt immediately reference to a film I saw once. Ive seen it all and the worst thing, the thing that makes me want to blow my brains out is that the second hand experience is always better to so many people. The image is crisper the view is keener, the camera angle and soundtrack manipulate their emotions in a way reality cant anymore. I dont know that we are actually human at this point, those of us who grew up without the internet , In my world if we are betrayed, we know the words to say. When a loved one dies, we do NOT effing RIP the whole flipping world on facebook as if Rest In Peace is enough. Because it is NOT enough. They are just meaningless, thoughtless WORDS. It seems to me that people are just working off some script on facebook and we are all robots. EVERYONE doing RIP whenever someone dies. If it were your father would you do that? No you would not. You would have WORDS and you would use them carefully and wisely and you sure as hell would probably NOT do it online. INTEGRITY. What is that? Someone tell me what that means today? I know what it means to me. This is a very difficult era in which to be an individual ( I get that) but just be a person please, a real person, instead of a collection of online personality traits selected from an endless automat of characters. I know it takes guts. But just be YOU. I would do anything to just feel I was living in a world full of REALPEOPLE again.
