I had SO much fun tonight! I got to be a guest presenter at Shawns Cloverbuds (pre-4-H) meeting as they explored the theme of sound. (I had to use my little harp because of the logistics of transporting 2 kids in car seats & the instrument by myself!) We did some experiments. I played music. I felt like a teacher and had a great time having fun with science. Combining a passion with education - one of the reasons Ive loved teaching so much & one of the things I miss the most about it. This is at the very end of my gig as they kids were feeling the vibrations of the music in the wood of the harp, watching the strings vibrate as I played, and simply got an up close look at something they dont see often. These kids made my night!
