I had a brilliant meeting with Wrexham Council officers today regarding my campaign to use Planning Enforcement powers as one part of improving our town centre. It was a really positive meeting and Im grateful to the Leader, Cllr Mark Pritchard for making it happen. The pictures of Claires and Waterstones show great before and after shots of what can be achieved. This was simply by asking in this case. I visited a fantastic cafe on the Llay Industrial Estate called Cleopatras. You have to visit! Its absolutely incredible and they are a really enterprising couple selling all kinds of local produce and gifts. I also visited many other local businesses across the Wrexham constituency today and discussed various issues from parking to business rates and what can be done. This evening I attended the Christmas party of the Wrexham branch of the National Autism Society, Cymru. They are a really enthusiastic committee who I am really keen to help. They need our support in achieving an Autism Act for Wales and for the Welsh Government to ring fence the budget.
