I had a great trip to Halfway Wash and Toquop Wash and took about 300 pictures:-) I found what Crampton called a later very steep wagon trail at the mouth of Halfway Wash as well as the trail that has the OST Monument. It is very interesting comparing the accounts, the pictures and the maps. There are some major inconsistencies with the reports and conclusions that people have drawn, my observations as I ascended the trails, and likely in my own understanding. There are wagon ruts on all three trails. It is all my subjective observations. I did not find anything that was carved or painted proclaiming that either Kit, John, Pegleg, Solomon, William Henry, Wakara or Addison was here. I was in the neighborhood though. I had a ball.
