I had a growth from the side of my face near the temple removed last Monday. Thursday they told me it was a Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Thats right, it is a skin cancer. Not the dangerous kind. It is localized and will be removed on the 16th. I WILL BE FINE!!! I might have a nasty scar but I will use it for show and tell. The reason for this post is to remind you to use sunblock. I want to include my friends who are African American as the type of skin cancer I have is the most common type for African Americans. I believe this happened to me because I live in a place where the sun shines most the time and I thought this could never happen to me. I was wrong. Anyone know where I can find sunblock with an SF1000 rating?
