I had a lot of requests to do more furniture toile designs for fabrics, wallpapers and gift wrap so I finished one last night that I had in the design stage. (I have several more in the works, using various historical design styles). This one is called Kurbits Cottage and will be available in many colorways. Its a collection of rustic northern European folk furniture, including a Norwegian wooden throne. I have first created them in ink blue and cranberry red. Of course all my designs are copyrighted, but can be bought on fabrics, wallpapers and gift wraps on the website Spoonflower, through my shop Lilyoake.! Kurbits are, of course, the folk painting designs used on Swedish folk furniture (identical, nearly, to Norwegian Rosemaling). I have predicted for awhile now that kurbits and rosemaling will be the next big thing in the popular surge of furniture painting we are all seeing right now. Lets see if Im right or if Im just blowing smoke out my you-know-what! lol
