I had student yesturday cry. Shes not like a little kid who cried cause her mom left her at school for a hour. Shes like 7. She cried cause the lady that runs the school had to tell her mom how lazy she is and that she wont practice at home or study so there is only so much we can do at school for 1 hour each week. It was also somewhat of a lecture for the mom too cause the mom flat right out told us, oh I dont do homework with my daughter cause I dont have the patience, thats why I send her to you. Butt of course a kid is not gonna get that we are somewhat lecturing the mom too. I have often wondered about this kid. I know she is really lazy and cops a nasty attitude with us sometimes for having to work with her butt does this kid have some kinda reading problem or learning disability that I am not aware of? Seeing the kid cry for feeling lazy or like she just cant understand English bothers me. I remember similar frustration I had in school over math and other issues.
