I had the decompression surgery 4 years ago and have symptoms - TopicsExpress

I had the decompression surgery 4 years ago and have symptoms after that for 3 years now. I attempted a nerve conduction test but gave up when they were poking/prodding with no results. I didnt know chiari was a lifelong thing, which makes me question past tests and any information my old neurologist gave us when I first learned about it. He didnt give any details of my type, how many mm, or even say that it was a lifelong thing.. Pretend Im a newly-diagnosed 22 year old. What tests should my neurologist do and what other things should he be looking for? My symptoms include dizziness, blurred vision, back pain, migraines, tingling/numbness in my hands and legs, memory issues, balance issues, nausea, vomiting, excessive sleep, loss of appetite, etc.. Any info you can provide as to tests I should have done, other disorders that are common with chiari, or anything of that nature would be greatly appreciated as I see a new neurologist Sept 3. Thanks!
