I had the pleasure of speaking to William Floyd Lester yesterday. A distinguished gentleman 72 years young. I have been dealing through work with his brother for several years and have always known his name, James Lester, but he is from the Shady Spring area and I never put two and two together until James and I started talking about the Lester clan. Come to find out, he was from Bud, Karo Hollow to be exact, and it then dawned on me that we were probably kinfolk. He said they moved in 1951 or so, he was too young to know exactly. I asked his Dads name and his Granddads name. He told me he couldnt remember his granddads name, but his older brother was in the car and he might know. We went out and James introduced me to his brother, Dave, this is my brother Floyd. Then he asked his brother if he remembered Grandpas name. The elderly gentleman smiled and said, Sure, same as mine, William Floyd Lester. Now neighbors, this was a blessing to me to meet one of our relatives right out of the blue, and the grandsons of one of our elder kin. And it proves once again, ya never know when one of your relatives could pop up unexpected. Just wanted to share this with all yall and maybe some would get a kick out of it like I did.
