I had the profound privilege of not only being raised on or possibly by his movies, (I remember trying to devour the bulk of his earlier work in a weekend with my sister.) but later in life I had the immense honor to meet the man, shake his hand and watch him work albeit briefly when I was the Iraqi coach for Bengal tiger. He showed such a genuineness and curiosity, such humbleness towards his peers and collaborators, such a willingness to be vulnerable and open. And then he thanked ME for being involved with the project. I had been flying into New York to make the rehearsal and I remember watching the fisher king on the flight. This man could touch your life with words and his being and soul at any point. Hes one of the reasons I wanted to become an actor. Hes one of the reasons I am an actor. You were a real force Robin. A magic man. I cant stop thinking about it. Im so sorry for his familys loss right now. But I hope they take solace in all the joy he has brought in his wake. Such a warm soul and what a great loss. Thank you mr. Williams. Youre still making us laugh and you will for many years to come. Wherever you are I hope youre getting a standing ovation. #RIPRobinwilliams #ocaptainmycaptain
