I had the shock of my life today when I visited an 18 year old friend of mine who recently got married. Gosh! I was totally shocked beyond understanding. So tell me, what is this craze among these Zongo girls to get married early. Or are men running out in this world? Why would you sacrifice your happiness and turn into someones housewife, bear his kids and turn into an old woman in the days of your youth. We girls of today have sold our respect and dignity for material things which we know very well will not last. Yes Im speaking without fear or favor. I blame some of these useless mothers who are in support of marrying off their daughters in exchange for material goods. Shame and shame again! What do you think the future of these girls are gonna be? To marry off your daughters to men living in single rooms without any better life. Shame unto these mothers! Zongo youth arise and fight. We can do better. Empower our girls to create better lives for themselves. We need change now!!!!
