I had to go out to the yard and cut my own switch a few times, and despite what a lot of you might think I turned out semi okay. As far as Im concerned I had the best parents in the world, and corporal punishment was not that big of a deal. For god sakes I got paddled at 16 years old by and administrator in my high school. Maybe there are some facts that I am missing from this case, and not to grossly oversimplify, but it seems to me that there is a huge divide between southern folks who tend to b on the conservative side in east and west coast folks who go the other way. Is there anyway to bridge the gap between those 2 stark opinions on bringing up your child?
