I had to pick up a client yesterday afternoon at PaliHouse. As I pulled up, there were about 12 people out front waiting for their cars and/or taxi. As is frequently the case with people on vacation, they were inebriated, loud and smoking. I was taken on a tour of the public areas of PaliHouse and was struck by the proximity to people’s homes. Walking through the back patio where people drink, I looked up in to many residents’ bedroom windows. I know this pales in comparison to Laura’s experiences, but I wanted to chime in as to how outrageously inappropriate it is to have PaliHouse right in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It is a glaring example of City Hall’s utter disregard for the residents of Santa Monica. Laura, I will help you in any way I can to right this terrible wrong.
