I hate math generally means I hate the wax on wax off approach - TopicsExpress

I hate math generally means I hate the wax on wax off approach that is erroneously labeled as math. I believe that anyone can learn math. Claiming that someone cant learn math serves as both an excuse not to try and a self-made limit on our abilities to grow. There have been times that I have thought that I wasnt very good at math. This usually happens when Im struggling with a problem. However, I realize every time I solve a problem that the struggle came not from my lack of ability, but because I was stuck thinking about the problem the wrong way. Math problems, like any other problems in this world, require us to change our paradigms in order to see and understand the big picture. Math helps us to search for the best solution rather than a solution that is good enough. Math helps us realize the importance of definitions and the dangers of ambiguous communication. When am I ever going to use this stuff in my life? Every day.
