I hate to say it, but I fear the Jewish community of Western - TopicsExpress

I hate to say it, but I fear the Jewish community of Western Europe is going to have the same fate as the Jews of North Africa and the Christians of Iraq. This country drives me crazy at times but it might be the one place in the world where anti-Semitism is still very much a fringe thing frowned upon by society and Jews can live a fully open public life and not get so much as a dirty look. The Jews have a perfect record of getting kicked out of every place weve ever lived (and Im sure there were plenty of urban German Jews in the 1920s who felt fully assimilated and part of the establishment), but its hard to see that happening in America. When I read stuff like this, I feel very lucky that my grandfathers aunt married a cowboy in New Mexico and was able to bring him over.
