I have 2 students (siblings) who are in need of help. A few months ago their mother left the family and moved out of state. The father has been taking care of everything and there will now be a divorce. This has caused not only an emotional strain, but a financial one as well on the three of them. Both students have been unsuccessful in the public school system for many reasons. I have had the younger one for nearly two years. He is doing awesome. The oldest is only about four credits from his high school diploma and he is doing great as well. Both are serious about having their high school diploma (not a GED). The father has come to the end of his financial rope and is no longer able to afford their tuition (which he has paid religiously). THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL though!! Because of the financial situation, both students will qualify for a scholarship to help pay their tuition and allow them to finish high school. Unfortunately, it will not start until next school year. SO... in short, I am reaching out to those of you who might be willing to help get them from January to May so that they do not have to leave school. These are good teenagers who are really trying to finish school and better themselves. if you feel led to help out in any way to sponsor them, please let me know. The total cost of tuition for both of them for the entire time is $3250. If you own a business or know someone who does who would be willing to sponsor them for a month or two - anything - that would be great! If you are just a bleeding heart like me and would just be willing to make a donation, I am setting a scholarship account up for them that will be payable directly to the school toward their tuition. The money will only be released to the school. If you are able to put either of them to work to help earn some of the money, they are eager to do that as well. Please let me know if you can help!!
