I have REALLY REALLY been struggling with FAITH lately. More specifically, faith in Gods abundant provision in ALL areas of my life. Its so tough and the thing is, I used to trust everything He said 100% but my mind and heart rebelled against God for a long time and in this area, I am now struggling. Despite that, the Holy Spirit is still so faithful! Every day I spend time reading the Word, praying and even in my interactions with others, He continually reminds me who He is and what He says He WILL do. This passage again hit home for me this morning: Mark 8:17-21 NLT Jesus knew what they were saying, so he said, “Why are you arguing about having no bread? Don’t you know or understand even yet? Are your hearts too hard to take it in? ‘You have eyes—can’t you see? You have ears—can’t you hear?’ Don’t you remember anything at all? When I fed the 5,000 with five loaves of bread, how many baskets of leftovers did you pick up afterward?” “Twelve,” they said. “And when I fed the 4,000 with seven loaves, how many large baskets of leftovers did you pick up?” “Seven,” they said. “Don’t you understand yet?” he asked them. I choose today, like every other day, to take captive the thoughts of doubt and worry that stifle my faith. I take captive the mindset that says Hes too busy or that I need to be better in order to receive all that He has promised, in the Name of Jesus. I choose today to nail that thinking to cross and leave it there. I choose today to focus on all God has done because He has been faithful and will continue to be. I choose to replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of my Saviour 1 CHRONICLES 28:2 Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God my God will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD. JOSHUA 1:3-9 I promise you what I promised Moses: Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you... No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you. Hallelujah! Praise God! Because: Numbers 23:19-23 NLT God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? Listen, I received a command to bless; God has blessed, and I cannot reverse it! No misfortune is in his plan for Jacob; no trouble is in store for Israel. For the Lord their God is with them; He has been proclaimed their King. God brought them out of Egypt; for them He is as strong as a wild ox. No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel. For now it will be said of Jacob, ‘What wonders God has done for Israel!’ May faith increase in both our hearts friendy! Lets pray for one another so that our faith may increase.
