I have a ball mark absolutely, positively etched in relief into my thigh, with broken blood vessels streaking out from it all around like a bright purple and blue sun! (OMG) I thought I could catch for my son tonight as he gets in his nightly work, pitchers throwing on off days, especially mine who needs to build up his endurance from the wrist break. I did pretty well until my little slip, missing the ball. I am not cut out for the higher levels of baseball. I am apparently too old, too blind, or too slow to catch a fast ball now. Instead, I let it hit me square in the quad, almost like I was reacting in slow motion. Im stringing up an old tire to the tree and retiring from catchers duties.
