I have a confession and Im just going to come out with it: I think that Andy Warhol flower for the Tacoma Dome is just about the ugliest thing I have ever seen (and I love flowers AND the T-Dome). As if Tacoma isnt already the butt of every WA state joke, let us just paint a big giant target on the landmark to our city. BARF! Take a dirty run-down city property that the voters decline every improvement prop (even though the dome is and can be a huge revenue generator), ignore all of the updates the dome needs, ignore the fact that it takes angel investors to even get the outside of the dome cleaned, and put a flower on it? Come on? Cant we just put a bird on it? We could pay a local artist to design the bird. We dont even own the Warhol flower rights. (Oh please, oh please, at least let it be the blue flower if this is something that really has to be done to our beautiful city).
