I have a confession to make. I actually enjoy paying my bills, by mail. Once I found out it majorly ticks off the phone company if they are overpaid a small amount on any given month, there was no stopping me. This does not work as well if you have paperless billing. You have to send a check. TDS Telecom, heres an extra $0.19. National Grid, $0.31. Auto insurance, sixteen cents. They are all now sending me what borders on hate mail, especially if the amount is about half the price of first-class postage. Every time they send a new $0.03 credit memo with DO NOT PAY stamped all over it, I pay that too. This is more fun than handing the NYS thruway toll booth attendant an extra thirty cents and driving off with them screaming in the background. because i can.
