I have a friend, who led me into Tibetan Buddhism, passed away at age 43 last Tuesday, due to lung cancer. This causes me to reflect a lot into this illusionary life. We are awaiting for our death one way or another, since the day we are born. Death comes to me at a young age of about 7 years when my father passed away. It was a time when I come into the reality of life with no understanding of what it means. I guess, that event has always spark me to continue my search on the meaning of life ( and staying alive) and my eventual attraction towards Buddhism, Chinese Medicine and Yoga. We are here for a purpose and we need to find out from within the real meaning of being alive. The search will never end, until we harmonise our life with this purpose. More energy will be used to seek something outside of ourselves to fulfil the void that is inside until this life no longer has the ability to provide itself. This is the root cause of all diseases. Diseases start when we are not in harmony. But in our body, we have two circulation of harmonising with the chi and harmonise with emotional release. The chi circulation is our "Water" cycle and the emotion is our "Fire" cycle. These two will always try to overcome each other to bring balance to our body. The problem is when the Fire is dissipating too strong and losing control from its centre. Then the water cycle becomes quicken or slower. If it quickens, then there will be more heat circulated and it tends to be congested upwards. If it slows down, there it tends to be cooling off from below. All these phenomena will eventually lead to a bigger dichotomy between the upper and lower body as well as the inner and outer body. This is the breeding of all disease. By working in harmony with ourselves, we need to align ourselves with our true purpose. If we find that is true within us, then all energy transformation will be unify and become centrally regulated. Good health and life continuity will be given. This will be my main teaching for Manila this time.
