I have a new workout for my running friends. First, see how many pushups as you can until you cannot do anymore. Divide this number by two. That is your base pushup number. Now, for runs up to 3-5 miles, drop and do your base number of pushups after each mile you complete - yes, during the run. For runs of 6-10m, do your base pushups after every two miles. Runs 11-15 miles, after every three miles. Runs of 15+, after four miles. Fatiguing out your upper body forces you to run with better form and really concentrate. Start easy! It is an awesome workout. I call them Marchands - apologies to Bart Yasso and Yasso 800s. :)
