I have a question. Hopefully you can teach me what I am missing? If grace is understood as Gods unmerited favor to sinful men then why does the Bible warn us against Falling out of grace ? Since we dont deserve it in the first place, then why I wonder should one be able to fall out of grace ( Gal 5:4 ) If GRACE is undeserving favor given to an underserving person simply for the reason of God being gracious then why does the Bible warn against the professed Christian soul whom does despite unto the Spirit of Grace? That would be an oxymoron wouldnt it? ( Heb 10:29 ) If biblical grace speaks of God saving your soul from hell while you live like the world simply because grace saves you, then why does the Bible warn us to live diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God, and thereby be defiled? ( Heb12:15) How can any one fail or fall out of grace if grace means ( according to some ) you dont deserve my salvation but despite how you live Jesus will save you? I wonder why people are hard wired to believe that saved by grace means that no matter there lifestyle God will welcome them into Heaven. Clearly the Bible teaches that we are saved (immortality) by having wisdom, and believing in the Gospel story of Jesus crucified, buried, and being raised from the dead after three days. saved by grace then means what? are saved by grace, or by believing in Jesus story? And what about wisdom? Where does the Bible state that? Maybe we have been duped by pastors and priests that have been duped. Preaching for a century now that grace affords men a relation ship with God (through Grace ) while there is no visible change in there lifestyles or behavior? Though the Bible clearly states there MUST be a change of heart ( which is shown through our behavior ) to prove that we are NEW CREATURES in CHRIST JESUS because of GRACE> grace was first spoken of back in Genesis 6:8 : And Noah found GRACE in the sight of the Lord. How does one find grace if grace is given ? In other words , Noah served grace in the sight of the Lord. Grace in Hebrew alludes to serving or finding pity on something very low in rank. because they are pitiful. So God has through His Graciousness found us pitiful, and thus pitys us through grace. grace is the comfort and leading of the Holy Ghost which resides in the heart of TRUELY RE-BORN BELIEVERS. Someone truly transformed in there minds in the form of remorse for there sins, and transgressions, not only saying sorry with there mouths, but decidedly never committing those crimes again. ( Yes our sins are crimes against God, and mankind ) Grace is a given ability by God to never commit such iniquitous actions again. Grace is a God given desire to cease from our thoughts of aggression and bitterness, unforgiveness, and selfish deeds towards one another, and instead be gracious to our fellow brothers and sisters, wives and husbands, and children. Graciousness is defined in Galatians 5 as the fruit of the Spirit ( or the grace of the spirit ) which is love. and love is defined as having these qualities Joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith ( which is holiness ) meekness, and temperance ( which is self-control ). Remember Grace is given by God alone, you can not will grace upon your life. Psalms 84:11. The Lord God is a sun and shield: The Lord will GIVE grace and glory to them that walk upright. >>>>> Proverbs 3:34; He giveth grace only to the lowly. Lastly, grace is simply told as being the Gospel. Hearing AND Receiving the Gospel of God will save you if you apply Gods commandments to love Him with all your heart, soul, and strength, and to love others with the same zeal which fulfills the Law. Acts 20: 24; So I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have RECEIVED of the Lord Jesus TO TESTIFY the Gospel OF THE GRACE OF GOD. You see my dear friend, brother or sister, Biblical grace by which we are saved is you telling the gospel truth to someone else whom believes they are in desperate need of someone to deliver them out of there grief, and sorrow, and they in turn BELIEVE the gospel truth in which you shared with them, and react through repentance which too is only GIVEN by our gracious God as pity, because Gods nature is love. He is affectionate towards the person whom by grace recognizes they are woefully sick and diseased by sin, and only Jesus can bring them back to health. So they HUMBLE themselves and plead with God to recognize there woeful state of existence and give them LIFE favorably pouring on them the Holy Ghost whom will direct there paths accordingly after the prescribed Scriptures which is able to save a soul if you daily read it, and meditate on it This too is grace. saved by knowing the scripture. James 1:21; Lay apart all filthiness and superfluidity of naughtiness, AND RECEVE WITH MEEKNESS THE ENGRAFTED WORD, WHICH IS ABLE TO SAVE YUR SOULS. Grace is through persistent reading and meditating on the Scriptures we accept our faults and with meekness give them up. Then God through His Spirit will here a little, and there a little transform you into the likeness of His Son Jesus Christ.............. Grace. It is the Breakfast of Champions!
