I have a question. I am a grandmother of a 4 year old boy. He and his mother lived with us until 21 weeks ago when we had to kick my daughter out as we couldn’t deal with the way she thought it was ok to treat us or talk to us like we were pieces of crap (She’s almost 22). My grandson stayed with us. I got a call that a call was place with CAS over the way my daughter was treating the grandson. We had one worker come in and end up telling us she wanted another case worker to work with our family and that my daughter had to do some parenting classes etc well this new worker is telling us she can’t make my daughter do these classes. She’s hit, belittled my grandson as well as tells him grandmas an F@@King b@@@@ to his face which is not right. She has left him alone in a park truck so she n her ex could go into a person basement for 15 mins to a hour from what I have been told as well as she did it at our house once that we know of alone after she was told we would be home in less than 10 mins, when we got here she was gone n he was sleeping in his bed. This new CAS worker now feels there is nothing wrong with all this n says that the problem is my daughter n I don’t get alone. She told the worker she wants us to act like grandparents which we have tired but she goes n pulls stuff like staying away from her son all last weekend, doesn’t make any plans for someone to watch him. She knew we had plans n had to change them. What or how can I make them see what’s going on. I want my daughter to get whatever help she needs to get her son back but right now feel he’s not safe with her I am so lost at what to do. He’s still living with us but this worker says she can take him as soon as she gets her place set up.
