I have a question for anyone who has ever had to put their parent - TopicsExpress

I have a question for anyone who has ever had to put their parent in a nursing home; be it temporarily or permanently. I was notified that mom will be having an endoscopy tomorrow and then will be kicked out (for lack of a better term) first thing Wednesday morning provided nothing shows on the endoscopy. I was informed to find a nursing home for her immediately. So far, Ive spoken with the floor supervisor and social worker. Everyone keeps saying that we should just hold tight until the results from tomorrows endoscopy come back. That will, however, give me less than 24 hrs to make this thing happen. We were told that there are 100 covered days as long as shes transferred directly from the hospital. (This also includes 100 paid days for care.) In speaking with other people, Im told that 100 days is highly excessive even with a coordination of benefits, it wont be covered 100% or even close. If anyone has ever encountered this, please PM me. This just sent me into shock. I have no idea how she can be sent anywhere when they havent figured out whats going on with her. Her levels are still outta whack, shes still bleeding internally, and they just keep on packing in more blood and bags of iron. If someone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanking everyone in advance for any help you can give.
