I have a question for the congregation. Yesterday when I went to deploy my skeg, I found the line was broken. Skeg blade is still there and the line but not operating. Because my kayak is only 2 years old, it may be covered under warranty (emailed the company already), but if not, has anyone had experience with using anything other than the metal line provided? I had read that weed whacker line can be used in place thus avoiding probable rusting. Anyone tried this yet? Have you had success?
