I have a situation that happened today when I took my Mom to the Sky Valley Clinic here in Sultan. I am very upset over the rudeness and uncalled for remark that was made by a,so called professional,employee of the clinic. My Mom, has gone to this clinic before they moved to Eastern Washington,which was a long time back,but she wanted to go back to see the same doctor that she use to see,that she knew and trusted when she moved back here recently because of my step Dads situation. At her appointment today as we were leaving she asked why she had to pay a copay to this clinic but hadnt had to at any of the other doctor appointments. This gal comes out,puts down a sheet of paper on the counter in front of Mom and says, It says that you have a copay that has to be redeemed at time of service,the other clinics must have done it their way and billed to later. My Mom just replies,Oh,I am not quite sure if they do or not,I will have to check.Ok,enough said,so I thought. But no, The woman,Karen,has to point at the paper and looks at my Mom and says, Dorothy,you wanted to come back here,and this is the way we do things here. Turns and walks away. That to me was rude and uncalled for. What, my mother should be made to feel privileged that she gets to go to your clinic and not inquire about financial matters when she is a senior and on a limited income?! I have heard from others in this town that she is always rude. I am hoping that she may realize that her rudeness needs to stop here.
