I have an immediate opening in my New York Life office for an administrative assistant. Must be available Monday thru Thursday from 9AM to 3PM with an hour for lunch. Candidates must have the following skills and experience: Organizational, attention to detail, strong grammar and professional communication skills, pleasant telephone call-making and -receiving skills, professional appearance, resourcefulness and the ability to follow directions and communicate with myself, underwriters and support staff in my general office in Albuquerque. Duties will include completing and processing applications, service forms and client files, as well as setting and confirming appointments, keeping up with marketing tools and campaigns and helping organize scheduled events and programs. Position will be 20 hours a week, starting pay is $9 an hour but I am willing to pay for fast-learning and hard-working and am willing to raise the rate within 90 days for the right individual to as much as $12 an hour and increase to 30 hours per week if warranted. There are also lucrative bonus opportunities for helping my office hit sales goals and I prefer someone with a go-getter attitude versus someone who wants to hide behind a desk.
