I have applied to 2 jobs online that require you to take an online assessment. They both emailed me within 10 minutes via an auto response saying that after the system had gone over my assessment they would not be bringing me in for an interview. No one will even get to look at my resume which would show them Im fully qualified for the position. No one will interview me to see that Im intelligent, well spoken, well mannered, and have a fantastic work ethic. Taking the human interaction out of job searching is killing the market. What if some idiot who is barely qualified for the job gets the job over me because he passed the assessment. The company will be missing out on hiring an outstanding employee compared to an alright employee all because they let an online automated questionnaire decide for them. I like technology, but it doesnt belong everywhere.
