....I have been asked at least 3 times this week when we will be having another baby. I know Tinsley is 18 months old and this is a normal conversation for my age and where my family is at in life. But the comment that keeps getting said during this conversation is soooo frustrating. I know people are saying it and meaning no harm or to rub me the wrong way but it does, and maybe its all in my head and I need to get over it but it just makes me sad. It goes like this... Hopefully the next one will be a boy and not another girl. Would we love to have a son one day? Yes. It would be a blessing. But no greater blessing than having another daughter. Or having another 3 daughters. One is not superior to the other, at least not in my eyes. I cannot imagine Tinsley being anyone other than who she is. But it seems those who only have girls are pitied. Like back in Biblical days when you were blessed with a child it was always a male heir. Passing on the family name. And if you dont do that then poor yall. And who knows. Maybe Tinsley will be an only child. Maybe shell get a sibling or two one day. Maybe a sister. Maybe a brother. All I know the Lord has a perfect plan for my life. He knows how many kids we will have and their genders and He has chosen us to raise them for a reason. And thats all that matters. When people ask me the gender question, I always just tell them I dont worry about that because I have no control over it and who am I to question Gods plan for my life. Bring on the pony tails, the barbie dolls, the tea parties, the makeup lessons, and drama drama drama. Haha! (Disclaimer: Im not pregnant. This isnt some crazy preggo hormonal rant. Just think about how you say things to us sensitive women! And I would like to apologize to any momma out there Ive ever offended by saying something like this to. I get it now. Haha!)
