I have been challenged by Virginia Poland Fine to do the positive and grateful challenge I will be listing 5 things everyday over the next five days that makes my life wonderful I now challenge Michele Belotti-Ventricelli Suzanette Hancock and Talun Zeitoun to let us know why they are positive and grateful... Day 3 1.) My dog Tzion who was born on Merles birthday,This is a breed that is likely never born in summer months and they only breed once a year, It was a freak litter and he was born on Merles birthday,.. he had to be mine,.. I have learned more with this dog than any dog in my past. Toughest hardest kindest boy I have known 2.) My dog Zoey, she was a rescue, Merle found her and insisted we keep her,...he grew up on a farm so he acted like dogs trained themselves,.. so we fought abour this one and the training,.. i secretly trained her and he kept telling me how good she was,.. lol when he died she slept on his sweater in his suitcase for a week till I finally closed it and took her into my room. She was his girl and I am so grateful as she has loved me and now outlived Titus Merle and Elsa Gods blessings 3.) I am so lucky and grateful that Jennifer McPherson Lukas and Sean lukas shared my nephew Ian Lukas and my neice Erin Lukas with me,.. when i asked my therapist if i could have a kid she said you have one Ian focus on his life make it the best it can be . He is a light in the world. I have six neices and nephews who are all great but Ian and Erin have been sent to me as a blessing so i can learn my way thru this world and know that the best of me and the worst of me affects the precious lives of others. 4.) I am grateful for Reiniel Jesus Florke , Randy Florke s son. He was my first chance at raising a child in a group of loving friends in my early years in ny, Randy shared him with all of us and he has turned out to be a magic man with a heart of gold.Jesus is loving caring accepting and heart driven. He is one of my proudest moments. I love when i see him across a room and know that we all loved him into his human ness. I am grateful he is alive and glad he made it thru his earlier tuff years. I never forget our texts when he was in boarding school and he wanted to come home,... or not have to take French. We had special talks and I could always tell him how unique and special he was and how great he would be. When he was young, he sang a song for me, this sweet little guy full out voice,... I believe I can fly and i sat there looking at this sweet boy, growing thru his personal life trials and just cried,... ( he didn;t know that ) Ill never forget that night,.. and he did,..and he is! He flew! More to come! Good boy, Good man, good heart, good soul. 5.) I am grateful for Randy Florke for teaching me many things about being a man in ny. He showed me a way out of a closet that I had let my family and my religion lock me in he showed me how to just be and he was the most un-judgemental friend I have ever had or met. He flowed thru his days and saved his children (3) that he adopted from ruff homes and he loved and never told any of us how we should or shouldnt live our lives. He just lived his and we followed by example. I look to him with pride. Watching him marry his partner Sean Patrick Maloney this summer was full circle for me. Randy hasnt even touched his magic yet and I look to him with hope of a better future,.. he was truly the best friend I ever had in my ny years... Friends Come and go in NY and he stayed. With Gods grace we will be old together. Wait,.. we already are... ;)
