I have been feeling such deep thankfulness for the past couple days for a very specific reason. Saturday night, as we were driving home from visiting with Staci and the family, we were rear-ended at full speed. We were catapulted airborne off the highway, crashed down, and started speeding and bumping toward the trees. In response to prayer, our Father literally turned the car 90 degrees to avoid all trees. We finally stopped about 40 feet off the road. We have pictures of the path left in the grassy area to show we were no more than a foot from crashing into the trees when the car was turned away. The tow truck driver said there was no way the car would have been steerable after the first crash on the ground. :-) EMTs, highway patrol, tow truck, and fire engines soon filled the scene and blocked a lane of traffic. We are fine...all glory to God. The car, of course, not. First responders kept telling us we would be very sore...very, very sore. We have some achy stuff, but nothing really bothersome (but we are not youngsters anymore either). Praise to Jesus!! Btw, the person who hit us fled the scene. The highway patrol is continuing to search. We know there was a plethora of prayer answered that night. Every day, every minute is a gift from Him. So, PRAISE JESUS!!!!!!!! Dont waste any moment!
