I have been going through this for a good six months or so but cannot figure it out how it all comes to this. The British have colonized the Gambia for over centuries though against wishes of the colonized citizens and during that period taxes were collected and siphoned to Britain. And after gaining independence in February 1965 the administration in The Gambia, has always having English as an official language and is what is taught at schools and spoken at offices. Is shocking to discover that here in the U.K as a Gambian and other British colonies in Africa are not considered to have good knowledge of the English Language unless you get a qualification to Degree level or that might equate to Masters in British. They will ask of you to take an English Language test to prove your knowledge even though you communicate to them in the very English language, you are bound to pay at least £75.00 to get certified after just around three days of that test to prove your knowledge of basic English.Something is wrong somewhere or is it just another way of hoaxing money in any way necessary? What is your take in that. One need to be verbally strong to stand your ground to avoid been scammed of the fee for the test, which is non refundable no matter your results.
