I have been guilty of it myself in the past, but I can no longer see any rationality or purpose in devoting ones life to a set of beliefs that you simply cannot verify in any way whatsoever, other than feelings. whether religious, spiritual, philosophical, etc.... I can entertain ideas and even take some pleasure in them, but that is as far as it goes. I find it much more purposeful to explore the mind, explore what we are capable of in our current form. why limit what we can do in this wonderful playground we find ourselves in because of a story somebody made up that may or may not be true? that just doesnt make sense to me.
