(this list is not necessarily in the order of preference....) 1) Pother Panchali - Bibhutibhuson Bondhopadhay (My all time favorite) 2) The da vinci code - Dan Brown 3) Chetan Bhagat Books (yeah I like them very much..may not be some great art of work..but those were among the very first novels I read in english) 4) Animal Firm - George Orwell (Unforgettable) 5) Mahabharata - Vedvyas (I have read it numerous time along with interpretation of it by various authors) 6) Chelebela - Rabindranath Tagore (I understood its meaning after my chelebela got over :) ) 7) shonku series - Satyajit Roy (Used to read these voraciously) 8) Sei Somoe and Prothom Alo- Sunil Gangopadhya (Masterpiece of bengali literature) 9) Kalbela - Samaresh Majumder (It made me feel restless) 10) The White Tiger - Arvind Adiga (Legitimate winner of man booker) I further nominate Ritwik Ghosh Samrat Roy Soumen Ghosh to list theirs.
