I have been on alot of Villa boards over the past 24 hours and I see alot of negativity and I am not daft (ok maybe but not THAT daft) and I get it but we need to keep some perspective here. 1) We just gave Lambert a 4 yr contract extension so whether you like him or not he is here for at least until the club is sold. Chants of Lambert out and sack Lambert is not helpful. Lets get behind him and make things better. 2) I think some of the blame here needs to be with someone who is getting no blame whatsoever.....the magical gods who make up the fixtures......have you EVER seen 5 straight fixtures in the beginning of season against last seasons top 5?? I have never seen it in professional sports. If these were spread out say we start with the Stoke Win, then Chelsea and Man City losses, then the Hull win, then the Everton and Arsenal losses, and then the Newcastle tie and the Liverpool win then it would not be as bad. 3) We actually paid well against Man City and Chelsea. The Arsenal loss well we had the bug problem and the Everton loss was a complete write off but those games happen. The lack of goal scoring I believe is a bigger concern than the defensive errors that arose yesterday. Lets get behind the group and take out our frustration on QPR next week. Comments appreciated.........even if you want to tear a strip off me.
