I have been pondering whether or not to put this on Facebook. I am not one to air my problems... so publicly. That being said, it is a sad day when a 10 year old child has to worry about getting knifed at school. My child is such a worry wart that I know he is thinking about this all the time. He is having a great year. He has great teachers. He has grown so much this summer. Now he has this to worry about this. At ten what did we worry about... what boy did or didnt like us, what was for supper, being home before the street lights came on. Not if we were going to get killed at school. I am sure that... well I hope that this child was just saying this for shock value. Oh by the way did I mention it was a girl who threatened my child. I worry for this little girl, why did she say this. Is she hearing it at home? Is it the availability of social media? Is it video games? All you Mamas out there know what I am fixing to say is true, now I have to put my baby out at school and worry for the next 8 hours if some one is hurting him. Dont get me wrong I worried about this every day of my life since 1998, the first time I had to leave a part of my heart with someone other than myself. Well not that someone would hurt him, Mrs. Ruth I know you love them as much as me. I worried that he would get hurt and I would not be their for him. But to drop my baby off with strangers and know that someone actually told him that she had a knife and was going to cut him. Now I have to send him back everyday knowing this happened to my child. It hurts my soul, my very being.
