I have been reflecting a bunch this week as today (yesterday, some day this week) marks the one year anniversary of taking a leap of faith to focus fully on creating a sorbet-ice cream-delicious food empire. In the past year things with that have come a long way, but even more so I am overwhelmingly grateful to be able to look back on a year filled with some of the most amazing and joyful road trips of my life, a handful of spectacular concerts, festivals, and events, a wedding to trump all weddings, a newly acquired love for street art (which I got to capture and share via IG: chakrasorbet), being able to cook some of the most delicious food I have in quite some time, and finally getting writing, cooking, and presenting gigs that I would not have even imagined a year ago. As is the normal ebb and flow of my life I lost some friends while gaining some new ones, but even more importantly I able to recognize some solid pillars in my life that continue to stick with me and remind me of my importance to them. I am overwhelmingly grateful to the many people who found I was coming to their town and opened their homes to me for a place to stay and even took sick days or made special arrangements so we could hang out. There are many things I could include here really… As many people reading this will remember some famous last words, “Be nicer to each other, you know”, I try to reflect on that often. One thing I have learned over the past few years is the Universe will get what it wants. While this is true, I whole heartedly know what the Universe wants is for you to be happy. So with that, never stop dreaming my friends. And thanks
