I have been reflecting about the death of Robin Williams this - TopicsExpress

I have been reflecting about the death of Robin Williams this week. The news has reported he had early Parkinsons disease and this may have contributed to his suicide. I was diagnosed with PD in 2009. I had symptoms as early as 2006 which I ignored. I kept stumbling along. Losing my balance at work and at bowling. I finally had to quit work and most activities which I enjoyed. If not for the love of my family and all their help, I would probably have given up long ago also. My sister, Candy Carrell Westhoff, who makes sure I get to all my doctor appointments and makes sure I have all the medical equipment to make my life easier. My brother and sister-in-law, Everett Carrell and Debbie Carrell, who would drop what they are doing to see to my needs with a phone call. My daughter Sarah McCauley, who does my grocery shopping and picks my meds up for me. My other daughter, Hannah Aaron Sopata, who helps me with laundry, cleaning and cooking. My granddaughter, Emeral McCauley helps me with laundry and cleaning also. My grandson, Jazper McCauley takes my trash out for me. They do not have to care for me but they all take time out of their busy schedules to see to me but they do so out of love. I just wonder if PD was one of the reasons Robin Williams took his own life, if he had reflected on the love of his family, he would have chosen life. I chose life everyday no matter how difficult my life is. Thank you family for making that decision easy for me everyday. I love you all and will keep choosing life everyday because of that love!!
