I have been trying my darnest not to respond to the recent - TopicsExpress

I have been trying my darnest not to respond to the recent suggestions by fellow comrades that we go defend the ANC against the planned March by the DA to luthuli house next month. Dont want to break the current form in solidarity and militancy expressed by our members. Certainly not intending to seem to be cutting across the grain neither am I in the mood to be ostracized for my views, but cant help ask: when did we become such Reactionaries? When our members were booing and throwing amasimba to a leader of the opposition there was not so much as a hearing. This is the same hypocrisy that has now lead to another splinter in the guise of the EFF. When the past ANCYL leadership was insulting others (those we were opposed to) it was all good and well. It was only when they directed the insults at home that amasimba hit the fan... We need to ask ourselves 3 questions; (1) does the DA have a right to march against the the ANC? Simple answer: YES. (2) is the march to the anc an infringement on the ANCs rights, simple answer: NO! (3)Are we defending the Anc against an imminent attack or are defending the Anc against the delivery of a memorandum (a piece of paper)? What totally ticks me off though, is that majority of the members of the DA marching to luthuli will be black. The white people whose interests the DA is protecting will probably read about a violent confrontation in some news paper whilst sipping on expensive coffee at the mugg and bean. Equally, the tendeprenuers our movement has created (many of whom dont even belong to a branch) will be dropping off their children off, in their Range Rovers, at some private school whilst the many of us poor working class and indigent take days off work and some off school in defence against the delivery of a piece of paper. Thus any confrontation which will most likely ensue will be black on black, poor on poor. Lastly, weve seen off late how trigger happy our policemen have become. It doesnt take much for them to spray tear gas, shoot rubber bullets and fire live ammunition at the ordinary citizenry. If our leadership and that of the opposition really cared, they wouldnt expose us(black poor people) to such a risk-or do we not matter? Mina maqabane nizanqolela...if you guys are going there to defend the movement against a piece of paper, then nizongithola ekasi ngidhla ama ice na ma skopas....
