"I have been using Visalus for just over a year now, I was focused on getting me well, I had to make a change and Visalus came into my life at the right time. My body was still taking a beating, I was unhealthy, not eating and not exercising. The tragic death of my 12 year old daughter June 19,2010 still overcoming me with such grief still locked up inside. I started Visalus and soon I started to feel better, I was getting nutrition, I then started to run, in 2012 I ran Five 5k races and one 10k race. On Feb 13, 2013 I got hit by an SUV while training for my first half marathon, three broken ribs a punctured lung, 20 stitches in my lip and major dental damage, I thought my dream to run my first half in May was shattered...in april 2013 I climbed the Manitou springs incline, and in May I followed through and ran my first half marathon dedicated to my daughter, just three months after my accident. Through my Visalus journey I have come to realize that Health has been the FOUNDATION....of my journey, I am stronger now, I am alive and I am healthy. I feel as though Visalus has been my drug, Doctor and Saving Grace. I turned to Health and Fitness to help me in this lifelong journey of Grief and pain.
