I have been using an experimental system of aspectation for a while that I thought some of you may find interesting. I use Heliocentric coordinates for it, and take nodes and apses into consideration. For ease of use, I use sine and cosine functions to assess these Dimensional aspects, as I call them. There are 3 Longitudes to consider: θ,Ω,Π. θ is the Heliocentric Longitude of an object, Ω is that objects North Heliocentric Node, Π is the Perihelion. The two Dimensional aspects, are Quasi-Altitude (QA) and Quasi-Distance (QD). To find these two parameters we use the equations QA = sin (θ-Ω) and QD = cos (θ-Π). If two objects QA or QD values are within .01 of each other, they are in aspect. This applies regardless of sign (Zodiacal or Mathematical).
