I have been watching several young deer cutting through my yard today. Three just tried to cross from the side yard going over the front ditch to cross the road. Traffic was getting heavy (and some drive WAY too fast). Two carefully crossed and the third was smart enough to hold back and watch and decided to head back instead. She attempted another crossing but the cars scared her back again. She might continue to try to join her friends but it is getting dark and will be more dangerous soon. She is standing by the Apple trees thinking about her next move. I hope they survive.
