I have been watching some of the TV programs about the JFK assignation. I had just turned 8 and was in second grade in 1963. I am amazed at what I remember - mostly about the funeral. I distinctly remember John-John saluting. I remember that the riderless horse, Black Jack (and that name has not been in these programs. I actually remembered it.), misbehaved through the entire route, side-stepping, throwing his head. I remember the drums beating as the group progressed down Pennsylvania Avenue. I remember that we got off school from the 22 through the Thanksgiving holiday. It was the first time I ever saw the American flag at half-staff. We had a little portable TV that fit in the bookshelves in the living room of the house on Crescent Drive in Sidney. We watched the funeral and everything else on that little screen. What, if anything, do you remember?
