I have chosen to drop out of the mustang makeover this year. - TopicsExpress

I have chosen to drop out of the mustang makeover this year. Nevada, the horse I was competing on was pretty good on the ground but under saddle, he proved to be very dangerous. I do not believe he is a bad horse at all but it was clear that he would not turn out as a makeover horse. As much as I like to be competitive in events, this was not really about that. I do not believe he would have been a good horse to auction to the public at the conclusion of the makeover and I was not willing to force him into things he clearly wasnt ready for in order to make a deadline. It was not worth me getting hurt or him getting traumatized. He is back at the BLM and I truly believe he still has a chance to make a nice horse. But it will take a lot of time and patience. If I could keep them all I would. As it is I have quite the handful of mustangs that need my time and effort! I wish everyone competing the very best of luck and I will still be there helping youth competitors!
