I have done something I never thought I would do. I just sent Global News Edmonton a huge email concerning the conditions and lack of upkeep on highway 40. Emails to Ledcor and the municipality dont seem to have any effect so I took it another direction. There is no reason that highway can not be maintained better than it has been. On this last Tuesday, there was a big-rig spun out and jack-knifed at the Cutbank. This morning, 5 days later, a fatality! The whole province hears the news when someone dies on Highway 63 or 881...but not Highway 40 and to a bunch of us, it seems like this highway is just as bad. Especially with the increase of traffic that uses that highway everyday for work. I know its not just the conditions, but some really ignorant and dangerous drivers, but how can a person drive defensively when it is hard at times just to stay on the road?
